Today is MagaMerlina's first birthday.
I think a nice way to celebrate it is with a giveaway. During this week I was thinking about something special for the giveaway but non of the ideas seemed enough for such an special occasion.
MagaMerlina has given me something I had lost: the passion for life, the looking forward to a new project, the meaning to what I create, a purpose.... Don't get me wrong, I have everything I could ask for, a wonderful husband, a wonderful daughter, my siblings, family, dear friends, health, etc, etc...but I needed something of my own again, that is why MagaMerlina is so special.
Yesterday I decided to make something new, aqua butterflies, an original watercolor-acrylic ink painting to celebrate.
Leave a comment here telling what you like about MagaMerlina and you are on for the giveaway. You have all the week to participate. I will announce the winner next Monday 17th of September around lunch time (NZ time of course).
Thank you to all of you who have supported me, followed, read, seen and comment, here on Flickr, Etsy and Facebook.

DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower but I love that your work is both colourful and delicate. Having looked back at your older posts to see what I've been missing out on I also liked seeing how your work has developed over time. When creating artwork the process is just as important as the final thing so I appreciate that you include that in your posts too!
Thank you Simone and welcome! I really enjoy sharing the process, I've learned a lot from other people who are very generous and always share so I try to do the same.
DeleteYour work inspires me to slow down and enjoy the present moment.
ReplyDeleteJaime I'm thrilled to hear that! Thank you for telling me.
DeleteI totally agree with Jaime
DeleteBeautiful works, as always :-)

DeleteMaria, I am so happy to have found you...again! I saw your pebbles a many months ago and did not get any info about the artist. Now I can put you in my favorites. I love how each seemingly insignificant pebble becomes an exquisite work of art! Now I see that you have done that for your butterflies as well! I feel a sense of calm and peace when I look at your beautiful work....Thank you for sharing this with us! I wish you, MagaMerlina, MANY Happy Birthdays!
